Alison Savage

Alison or, Sav, as she in known in the industry has over 21 years in the investment industry.

Starting her career at Gartmore in administration and dealing and progressing to sales it was quickly identified that her core competency was management of process and people.

Understanding the value of communication both internally and externally stood her in good stead for her roles at Framlington and HSBC Asset Management.

As Director of Marketing for HSBC she understood the importance of abiding to deadlines, planning resources and ensuring the offering was relevant to the audience. Working with retail, intermediaries and institutional clients together with financial journalists enabled her to demonstrate the flexibility in her communication skills.

Until July 2007 Sav was the Head of Communications for Close Investments Limited with responsibilities including the marketing, company re brand and integration, PR, website and both internal and external communications and events.

Sav also owns Rowhill Communications a ‘hands on’ marketing company offering services from high level marketing strategy to actually getting ink on paper. Rowhill was designed for organisations who do not require a senior marketing manager, or the cost of employing one, day to day.

Elite has an extensive list of financial journalists and editors on its books, ranging in experience to those with just one year in the industry to those with more than 20 years – on trade and national publications.

We have knowledge of the writing abilities and styles of writers which specialise in all aspects of financial services. Having such a range of writers, not just in their specialities but in their style, we look to match the right writer to the right job and budget.

Writers get paid by the word and we aim never to undercut the journalist, which is why we have such reliable access to freelancers. This payment method also allows us to offer a range of journalists for approval so the company can select the level of experience they want in order to meet budgetary requirements.

In addition work is screened by professional editors prior to completion of project, adding value to the end product by minimising any potential errors.
